SAT & ACT Prep
The Right Approach to Education prepares students not only for the rigors of big tests, but also builds a strong foundation for core subject areas. Our intensive, all encompassing program structure will immensely improve your child’s performance on the HSPT/SSAT/ISEE and prepare him or her for the academic challenges of 8th grade and beyond.
The Right Approach to Education also helps students and parents get ready for the rigors of junior year with preparation for the ACT, SAT, and college applications. We help prepare students not only for the challenges associated with each test, but also help them reach their full potential to maximize college opportunities.
After the student has taken the initial exam, we offer individual sessions on a pricing sliding scale. Depending on scores, we recommend two hours of instruction per week for 12-18 weeks. These sessions are 1-1 in order to target specific problem areas and to ensure maximum retention. We assign weekly homework to help students practice what they have learned. When the student is ready, we proctor a follow-up test to gauge the student's improvement and use the results to inform a course of action for continued success.
Test Prep Services
The Right Approach to Education is proud to offer an SAT & ACT program that is sure to help raise your child's test scores dramatically. In fact, some of our SAT students have raised their SAT scores to 300, 400 and up to 430 points! Our approach tackles the fundamentals of the subject matter tested and teaches students how to reduce test anxiety in the process.
ISEE, HSPT, SSAT Prep
TRA specializes in preparing students for entrance exams such as the ISEE (lower/middle/upper), HSPT, and/or SSAT. We begin with a practice test that serves as a baseline to determine your child's strengths and areas of need. From there, we meet to discuss the student's goals and design their test preparation program. Based on test scores, we work with the student to overcome areas of need while strengthening their current skill set. Students will not only see an improvement in grades and performance, but also develop long-term test preparation skills.

Option B: SAT & ACT all inclusive
This program is available for either the SAT or the ACT and offers 26 session hours of direct instruction as well as two practice exams, two family conferences, and all course materials. After the student takes an initial practice exam, we follow up with twelve hours of small group sessions that focus on general SAT strategies. We then assign weekly homework to help students practice what they have learned. With the remaining thirteen hours of instruction, we delve deeply into the nuances of the test as per the needs of the individual. These sessions are 1-1 in order to target specific problem areas and to ensure maximum retention. We then schedule a second practice exam to gauge the student's improvement and use the results to inform a course of action for continued success.
